Bothwell Castle

The tour book says " Bothwell Castle is one of the outstanding monuments of medieval Scotland and to visit it is an experience not easily forgotten."   And that is so true!!!  There is something about this place...I can't find the words.. but let me read more in this guide;   "The castle woes its origins to Walter of Moray who acquired the lordship of Bothwell in 1242.  He (or his son William "the Rich") set about creating a mighty castle in a spectacular display of feudal pride.  Their dream was never completed-why shall never be known"

Sitting on the River Clyde , Bothwell Castle is still an impressive site.  While reading the handy information posted here and there on the wall, one could only imagine how life must have been.  These were NOT the "good ole days"

I have seen a lot so far but nothing can be better than the friendship that is being established.
