Hi, My son found your web page, Wow, I was impressed, I was born in Newarthill and raised in Carfin, I went to St. Francis Xavier School, I have great memories of the Grotto, Monsignor Taylor would take a few of my friends and I out of class to help pull the weeds in the Grotto, And our reward was a few mints LOL ...I have a picture of myself in my Communion dress (many moons ago) standing in front of the Statue of Mary the Mother of Jesus, My Father helped build the glass Chapel which I remember well ...I left Scotland in 1961 and went back to to Grotto in 1982,Thanks again for the memories. Love the new pics! How about a feature on the shaggy cows with lots of pics! What time of year does the thistle bloom? Was Eeyore Scottish since he had an inordinate love of thistles? I'd also love a full pictorial and history lesson on Edinburgh Castle. This should keep you busy and out of trouble for a wee bit! LOL Luv Ya!!!! Nancy
Johnny: Good to read your pages. We were in Scotland nearly 10 years ago and loved it. Hope you are feeling better. Take it easy. Lynddon
Hi Johnny, I hope you are gaining strength as quickly as I did. I am back in Sunday school already. I surely enjoy visiting Scotland through your camera lens. I do my best traveling seated at the computer. :-)
Peggie, I thank God for your recovery. Thank you for your prayers on my behalf. I am feeling stronger every day. Glad you like the pictures. Johnny
Hey Johnny, I think we need to send you a Gator hat. Those of us here in Florida don't like those Bulldogs much. However, I can't say that because I was born in New England, upstate Vermont. You don't get much more North than that. Great web site.
Gary, send the Gator hat and I will give it a try! LOL
Enjoyed your pics!!
Thanks, Will

Did you find the people very much different from the people in Mississippi?
Livy, I am a Scot. Was born
and raised in Motherwell, Lanarkshire, Scotland. The only people from
Mississippi I know is The Online Dispatch Editor and her Sunday School class
from Rienzi Baptist Church. They have been praying for me. I am now
cancer free so I am very grateful.
Johnny
